Your Mission in Dentistry

Dr. Monica Gendi is dedicated to creating a comfortable environment for her patients and loves the opportunity dentistry provides her to get to know her patients on a personal level and partner with them towards achieving their goals. Dr. Gendi enjoys exploring new countries, cultures and languages and is passionate about eliminating healthcare barriers in vulnerable communities. She has partnered with local organizations in the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Zambia and Bolivia to assist in providing dental services and believes in the importance of building community across borders. She is fluent in English, Arabic and French.

Education

Dr. Gendi attended Boston University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology. She was awarded her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University and completed her residency at the UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill where she focused her work on treating children and adults with special needs, and providing safe and exceptional dental care to patients with complex medical conditions.

Continuing Education & Professional Memberships

Dr. Gendi is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and regularly attends continuing education courses in the fields of endodontics, orthodontics and laser dentistry to stay current on new advances in the field to best serve her patients. She is an Invisalign Gold provider.

Life & Hobbies

Growing up by the sea, Dr. Gendi loves to swim and spend time on the beach. She enjoys traveling, exploring new places, reading, spending time with her family and friends, and anything Disney! She believes in investing in others and is an active member in her Coptic Orthodox church community.
